Part 2: Summary of Each Stage

When Paul and Christine decided to settle together, they were assured that it would never
come at a time when they would get into fights. They had dated for two years and were ready for
the future. At their wedding, each recounted of how they met and how they eventually came to
be. According to Paul, she saw Christine as the ideal wife. She had all the features he desired of a
wife. Educated, hardworking, and quite a beauty. Christine, on the other hand, saw a committed
and a hardworking man who will assure her of the future. Their first year of marriage was bliss,
with frequent vacations and holidays around the country.
Things, however, started to change a few months after the birth of their firstborn child.
According to Paul, Christine was no longer there for him as a wife. He complained that she had
