**Question description**

The Grinchâ€™s heart has shrunk back to its original small size, and he is trying to steal Christmas again. With his new ACME Rocket Sled he plans to fly past Santaâ€™s sleigh and snag his bag of toys for the children. The Grinch knows that Santaâ€™s path is a straight line. He knows that Santa will take off from a point 5 miles east and 15 miles north of Who-ville, (*Who-ville is at the Origin)* and head on straight to a point 4 miles west and 12 miles south of Who-ville. Grinch Mountain, where the Grinch plans to take off from, is 5 miles east and 9 miles north of Who-ville. He plans on flying directly towards a secret cave 7 miles west and 3 miles south of Who-ville. It is on this trip that he plans on passing Santa at exactly the right moment to snag the sack of toys!

However, little Cindy-Lou Who plans to save the day using a super powered plane that she received from Santa last year. She will take off from her family mountain home which is 8 miles west and 12 miles north of Who- ville and she will fly directly to her Auntâ€™s farm which is 12 miles south of Who-ville. On her trip Cindy-Lou will pass the Grinch, take back the sack, then pass Santaâ€™s sleigh and return the toys.

Using a coordinate plane, graph the situation. Label the points of Santaâ€™s sleigh with s1, and s2. The Grinchâ€™s travel points should be labeled with g1 (Grinch Mountain) and g2 (secret cave), and Cindy-Louâ€™s travel points should be labeled with L1(family mountain) and L2(Auntâ€™s farm)
