The psychological testing can be described as the running of the psychological tests. The
process is utilized for testing by the use of several techniques to assist the psychologists to reach
some hypotheses concerning an individual and their capabilities, personality, and behavior. It is
standardized and an objective gauge for a behavior sample. The paper focuses on the appropriate
psychological test selection from different angles including the resources available, important
diagnostic factors and determination of the appropriate specific tests for clients’ demographics
(Cohen et al., 2013).
Resources available for counselors
There are numerous resources available for the counselors to select the appropriate tools
for psychological tests for a client. These include the 16-personality factor, Achenbach System
of Empirically Based Assessment, validity checklists, Non-evaluative Descriptive Resources and
lastly the Evaluative Descriptive Resources (Scroggins et al., 2008). The 16-personality factor is
a resource that the counselors can use to determine the client personality before administering the
