Here is my example ... One of the most famous sequences of numbers is the Fibonacci sequence. These numbers are often used in the analysis of stock market trends as analysts like to use the moving averages with the same time scales and use ratios of these numbers to assess uptrends and downtrends in stock prices. The sequence is: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55 ... + more. Using INDUCTIVE reasoning we can see that the sequence is based on the sum of the two previous numbers, starting with 1 and 1 at the beginning. One of the remarkable characteristics of this numerical sequence is that each number is approximately 1.618 times greater than the preceding number.
