Women rights
Human rights are important to men and women. But in some cases, women have been
experiencing difficulties and extreme challenges in enjoying their rights. A right is an entitlement
claimed by an individual worldwide and not just for women or men only (Tomasevski, 2013).
These rights are enshrined in the constitutions, customs laws, and personal behaviors. Due to
lack of these rights, it led to the formation of women rights movement in the nineteenth century.
And in some countries in the 20th century, they started a women rights movement that was more
advanced and recognized as a feminist movement. Some of the demands that were fought for a
century ago, today are enshrined in the constitution. The basis of the formation of these right
movement is as a result of a belief and existence of traditional biasness of boy child over girl
child (Tomasevski, 2013). Such women rights movement focused on the notion that a boy child
is favored and treated better than a girl child.
Therefore this report will discuss some of the traditional and modern women rights
movements, their agenda and their achievement. The report will also summarize on the
