What Aspect of Origami excited me or not? After watching film “Between the Folds”, I found that folds exist everywhere in our life, even in the galaxy. For example, there are the eyes, our clothes, DNA and so on. However, from the film, I got there is few fine folders in the modern society. The art road of folding is too hard to an artist. Almost people gave up on this road, but, some also alive in modern society. Form the interview the several creative artists in this movie, I was so amazed the paper art they made in their simple studio. That’s made me thinking about what aspect of origami is so charming? Origami is a beloved process in our life. People could just use a piece of normal paper and make it into various vivid shapes with their hands. It could be simple and complex. This activity is full of creativity and exploration. By the way, it is a meaningful activity to open human’s mind. People could gain succeed and satisfied during the folding paper. At that time, their brain runs at the highest speed. Otherwise, it is the same way to improve your ability to use your hands. On the other hand, folding paper is a kind of communication between human beings. Train their consciousness of cooperation, learn to work with people is an important part of the new curriculum concept. The creation of the paintings, which additional part of the paper folding make the works become more real. A human personal strength is to finish. It needs everybody's collective strength and wisdom. This causes the human in the process of creation, ideas, discussion, notes, solidarity and cooperation to each other. Do together, or to find the information, or text, or finishing works, or join a diagram. This is not the daily activities and the movie showed me an art world of paper folding. There are so many animals in the world. At the same time, these artists also used the paper to present the conceptions and innovations in the current society. Different shapes have to use different kinds of papers. For instance, the complex shapes of animals have to use soft paper. In addition to this, you don’t need to cut the paper. The one thing you can do is to change it. This is the reason when you are folding a complex animal you have to use the soft paper that it is easy to change it into all kinds of different shapes. There is no doubt the anyplace could become a place to fold a piece of paper. On a kind of level, present your thinking on the paper. There is no limited place for working on the paper. This place could be kitchen table, like Michael’s good friend Eric does. People don’t need to origami in a hurry. There is no proper time and place for folding. When the mood for folding comes, just take out a piece of paper and fold it anywhere. Especially on the emotions, he did a lot of job on human face that made each of human he made became lively. Some people have hat on his or her head. Some women have long curly golden hair. As we all know, eyes are the windows’ human. We can hot what their thought form his or her eyes. Hence, he also focused on the details of eyes. Form some small people he made, I even can find the color of eyes. It is so beautiful. Then, the most important thing is the facial details on his small paper. I can hardly imagine the time he worked on this face. I can clearly figure out the each line of wrinkle on the old man’s face. The big nose exact depict the shape that western people has. Furthermore, the shape of mouth on the face reflects the feelings of a human inside. Under mouth, there is mustache on the lower jaw. The whole face show me an imagine that this old man suffered a lot in his life time. Overall, the three-dimensional face with shadow is the master work on the world. Finally, after watching this movie, I have a new view of the origami. No doubtable, I enter the art world of origami. All of the paper is made in the all kinds of shapes like give them a life, which make them become a part of the nature. By the way, I think I have been absorbed by the glamour of origami. I hope will also can design my own great origami in the following times.
