Social media and public relations go hand in hand with social media having the strong
power of enhancing marketing tactics adopted by any company. In order to understand
consumers at a deeper level and connect with them in a way that establishes brand loyalty and
recognition, PR efforts on social media is one of the most effective approaches in today’s
highly digital culture (Derani, 2016). In terms of social media leverage, Domino’s is way
ahead of its competitors due to the ability to constantly innovate its mobile experience.
Unlike most companies in the food industry, Domino’s leverages on open communications
and transparency, and the company has always been open to responding to both good and bad
reviews. Domino’s digital campaign strategies have evolved over the years, kicking off with
the CEO directly addressing consumers on TV in the past, to now focusing most of its efforts
to social media. Social media is currently Domino’s strongest marketing platform.
