Project Proposal Cody Smith, Donna Johnson, Lisa Lunceford, Randy Bartlett, and Wei Du CPMGT/300 January 29, 2018 Professor Pedersen Project Proposal The purpose of this project is to introduce our team’s proposition that we feel you are going to love, as it will not only save your company money but it will bring many employees happiness. Yes, weare sure we could all come up with moving to a new building, but how long does that happiness last? What about a software upgrade? Boring! That may benefit the company, but we have something better because without these employees this business is not a business and we want to be sure that all the employees know we care, that you care. What is it? With there still being a high volume of management out there still do not offer the option working from home or telecommuting job, Team 1bargains more often than not you can pick someone off the street and they will tell you that they do not have the choice to work from home. We are not just proposing to one individual company; this action is to provide multiple companies across the U.S. a solution for the single mom or single dad, which work all the time and barely get to spend time with family. We want to direct you through the process of what it would take to have a work from home status attached to your company for those employees that fit the average single parent role in the company. Benefits As we touched on previously, one of main benefit is to save the company money promote security in which employees will be balanced in personal and professional areas and happy employees are productive employees. For the right people working from home can decrease stress. As for the company itself, the savings will start immediately in the form of lower electric bills, needed office space and reduced traffic trips. As this would cut down the unscheduled absences. This will also give the employees some empowerment and will also teach them to be collaborative. According to “Advantages of Agile Work Strategies for Companies” (2015), “14% of Americans have changed jobs due to shorter commute. They also, go on to say that almost 50% of companies that implement agile work places reduced attrition. These are only a few numbers, but they just get higher from here. Companies may retain more employees if they enact a work from home benefits, areas were increased in longer hours with less breaks. Stakeholder benefits not having everyone in the office every day. Losing employees Decreases real estate costs and overhead Then a whole team another three months. Management team Stay up to date on software and network systems Reduce Attrition. Communication Productivity dropping By the end of the year and start of new year, everyone should be good to work from home. Individual Contributors Communication and Collaboration. Resources& Project Team (s) The main resources that any company would need to be concerned about when thinking about making the transition, is hardware, making sure that everyone has the right computers, proper v-cards with a workable office space along with a telephone/fax line for communication. The resources will initiate from all areas of the company from Human Resources to Top Level Executives, to include all areas of the board members involved inside the company. The management will need to ensureeachemployeeselect reliable internet connection and there are not distractions that would limit productivity. Conclusion The proposal of creating a work from home or telecommunicating benefit management and employees in numerous ways from retaining employees and managing office space and low cost of office space.
