Sexual objectification of women by the media
The two concepts: sexual liberation and sexual objectification are antonyms to one
another. Sexual objectification is the perception in people regarding other people in the
society as sexual tools rather than people with dignity (Young & Yiqiao, 2016). Contrary to
that sexual liberation means, upholding the dignity of someone else regarding the person's
gender. In sexual freedom, a person is not viewed as a tool for sex. Various media programs
and advertisements have sexual objectifying.
The type of gender that is a victim of sexual objectification is women. There are various
adverts which make women the epitome of sex. They get viewed as possessions for sexual
