The lives of the poor are just as important as those of the rich. At this point, it is easier to
differentiate between countries that can be considered to be poor as well as others that are
considered to be rich. The great difference between these two types of countries is the fact that
the rich countries are made up of the rich who get to exploit the resources of the poor countries
such as land and then benefit from the productivity of their lands through importation into the
rich countries. The productivity from the exports from poor countries only gets to benefit the
smaller, rich populations. There is more focus given to the increased yields from producing
farms than the focus given on alleviating the hunger problem. Research has brought to light the
fact that the production of food in the world is much more than world population; therefore, it
can sustain the population and have much more remaining.
We are in a position to make changes to our society by giving all a chance to show our
capabilities. There are people in the world, selfish enough to take large portions of themselves
even if it means leaving others to starve and die of hunger. We live in a man-eat-man society
where everyone thinks of themselves thus leaving others to fend for themselves even if it means
that they die in starvation which shows that most of us have lost our humanity, all for the sake of
satisfying our greed which is very addictive. It cannot be said ...
