Introduction
The Propaganda Movement was a revolutionary movement that took place in the
Philippines. The lasted approximately 30 years dating from 1870 through 1900. The island was
still a colony of Spanish during this period. The island of Philippines was under the rule of the
Spanish for a period spanning for 333 years. Under the Spanish rule Philippines saw drastic
changes in almost every aspect of life over her people. The main aim of the Spanish colonial rule
was to take full control of the island. It was during the 333 years of colonial rule that the
Philippines experienced shortages in fund due to the exploitation of minerals by the Spanish
government. They were forced to resettle and were placed in fixed places by the colonial
government official. They were also made to work in gold mines with little pay or no pay. And
