Part one: International Internship Program
When an organization holds a virtual cross-cultural function, some practices must be put
in place to integrate the diverse people who are involved in the function. The first important
practice to integrate into the internship program am heading is coming up with a distinct
mechanism of communication. This would be essential because the interns present comes from
different parts of the world and might not be conversant with the language used in America which
is English (Raisinghani, 2018). Another recommendable practice is the coming up with a proper
and effective technology for the team interaction. The difference between leading a U.S.-based
virtual cross-cultural team and a global virtual cross-cultural team is the issue of language and
culture. These differences revolve around things like diet language among others.
According to Hawley (2018), some legal means and regulations are needed to be
considered for the interns to be employed in the United States. One of them is a working visa also
known as an employment authorization document. This permit can either be temporary or
permanent working visa. Another regulation to be considered in the employment in America is the
acquiring of the social security card. The interns who are non-citizens must meet this requirement
to get employed in America.
As their leader, the interns must get integrated with the culture of the United States. Some
of the ways to integrate the interns are by conducting of physical exercises. America mostly is very
cold during the winter, and non-citizen interns might fall sick due to the weather changes. The
physical exercise sessions are to help them to adapt to the changes of climate which is very
different from that of their native homes. Another way to integrate them into the American culture
is the introduction of the new diets available (Stone & Boyle, 2017). American culture mostly

depends on fast food which is the opposite of the interns (Campbell, 2018). Some activities can be
held for the interns to help them to appreciate the diversity within them. One of them is the
formation of storytelling groups. In these groups...
