The group will write-up their proposed idea for their Marketing Plan in a paged paper that will be submitted . The purpose of the Proposal to ensure that the group is on the right path of success to complete the project. The group will work on their idea and tentative supplemental pieces for the plan. The final plan will be submitted at the end of the semester. This tells you some of the parameters you need to meet for the Marketing Plan. The following are other pieces you need to ensure you include:What is the PRODUCT you wish to introduce?What are the PRICES you want to charge and/or the including a discussion of what the profit looks like you intend to makeWhat PROMOTIONS do you intend to use to get your Marketing message across to your target market?What PLACE/DISTRIBUTION methods do you intend to use to get your product to the masses?Who is the target market? Please research and find a short video (less than 3 minutes) that shows how conformity, compliance, and/or obedience can cause problems in society.  Look in news clips to find this information.  In 300+ word initial discussion response, summarize your video and how it is related to conformity, compliance, and/or obedience. 2.      In this week’s Task you will explore social influence. Read from your textbook the chapter on Conformity & Obedience. Think about how conformity, compliance, and obedience differ. Watch these videos and think about why they are appealing: ·         ·         ·         ·         Advertisements can be very persuasive as we’ve just seen. Research and choose an advertisement that appeals to customers’ sense of wanting to belong to a group OR one that appeals to customers who want to be recognized as an individual. Submit this commercial (or link to the commercial) along with a 300-500 word essay answering the following questions: What is more appealing to consumers, belonging to a group or being an individual? Why? How does the commercial you chose illustrate this? Be sure to use APA formatting, including in-text citations where necessary.   3.       In this week’s lesson we will discuss social influence and conformity. However, before we get started, here is a quick reminder that you should watch the movie you selected during week 3 for the final project. A one paragraph plot summary will be due this week. Review the PowerPoint on Social Influence and Individuals found in the Important Documents Section under Lesson 5) To help you start thinking about conformity, make a list of norms we follow today that the previous generation did not. For example, most people recycle today (this is the norm) whereas previous generations did not. Read the following scenario and reflect personally on how you would react. Feel free to share the scenario with a friend, family member, or colleague to see what they think their reaction would be too! "You sign up for a psychology experiment, and on a specified date you and seven others whom you think are also participants arrive and are seated at a table in a small room. You don't know it at the time, but the others are actually associates of the experimenter, and their behavior has been carefully scripted. You're the only real participant. The experimenter arrives and tells you that the study in which you are about to participate concerns people's visual judgments. She places two cards before you. The card on the left contains one vertical line. The card on the right displays three lines of varying length. The experimenter asks all of you, one at a time, to choose which of the three lines on the right card matches the length of the line on the left card. The task is repeated several times with different cards. On some occasions, the other “participants” unanimously choose the wrong line. It is clear to you that they are wrong, but they have all given the same answer.” What would you do?  This might be something interesting to talk about during the live session, too! 1.    In a 1-2 page essay, detail Asch, Milgram, or Zimbardo’s experiment. Do you think you would have behaved any differently than the other test subjects? Why or why not? This part of the assignment is worth 90 points. 2.    On a separate Word document type a one paragraph plot summary for the film you chose to watch for the final project. This part of the assignment is worth 10 points.
