corporations and firms. The argument is that change enhances competitiveness and performance

inconsistencies, gaps, and uncertainties. The scholarly work below is based on analyses of
multiple writings on changes. Based on the reviews, several recommendations have been
outlined. The suggestions are to aid in the development of innovation and also enhance further

Organizations and firms strategically incorporate technology and innovation into their
operations to enhance performance. In the contemporary society, due to globalization,
competition is high. Therefore, to strengthen competitiveness, companies are gradually adopting
innovations in their actions. Globally, markets are dynamic; customer needs and tastes change
based on emerging trends and practices. As such, to ensure survival in such a market, a firm has
to adopt an innovation. Consequently, within the strategic management, change has become an
essential component.
Analysis of the Field
Management innovation is defined as the process of inventing and implementing
management processes, structures, and practices that are relatively new with the intentions of
further accomplishing the goals of an organization (Markides, 2006). Innovation management as
a field has a bright future that scholar's term as shiny as and better than it has ever been. Today,
the business community is encountering some critical issues that have stirred up debates and
endless discussions. Four key innovation issues have a likelihood of affecting the current
business community.

The first issue revolves around the different and integrative concepts of innovation.
Innovation that is sustainable cannot be achieved with a single specific approach. It is a
requirement that first of all there is a deep-rooted comprehension of what change entails and the
necessary classifying concepts to enhance individual assessments. It is essential to understand

integrative frameworks in gaining a much more holistic viewpoint and a direction of the possible
actions. As an example, it is well known that the innovation matrix is purposed to helping
organizations to assign at least one of the available types of innovative organizations. A specific
approach can, therefore, be tailored with an objective of defining the position of innovation in
the business to propel its growth (Goetsch & Davis, 2014). A model such as the three horizons
model comprises of all views of change whether short term or long term. Sustainable innovation,
therefore, needs to be integrative and not just to provide options. It is an area that deserves
further knowledge and numerous researchers.
