Creation Myth Analysis
The Tiahuanaco culture in South America is rich in culture and has a fascinating myth of
creation arising from its culture. The creation myths in different cultures aim to explain the form
of everything and how they came to be existent. Therefore, the general movement in the stories
of myths is from a simple state of nothingness into a state of natural existence with human beings
being central to the stories. The revision of these myths unearths ages of culture in the respective
cultures and allows the people studying them to understand the emergence of cultural beliefs and
values about divinity and life. The analysis of such myths allows an in-depth understanding of
what the traditional belief of the emergence of life is and allows a critical review of the
applicability of those myths in the modern culture. The Inca and the Chinese myths of creation
appropriately explain the existence of people and their physical and socio-cultural environments.
The myth of the Tiahuanaco people of Bolivia intertwines with the Inca who conquered
the Tiahuanaco Empire and became a part of it. The presentation of this myth lies in the
integration of two communities to come up with similar religious beliefs. This myth is thus
special because it does not isolate every other community in the world and uses a common
approach to the understanding of the creation of humans and the universe at large. The current
myth is, of course, identified with the Incas but it borrows from the Tiahuanaco culture which
