The United States is one of the few countries which offers students across the world the
chance to extended their educational requirements and also have the chance to quest their thirst
for education. The United States has opened it boarders such that bright students from all over
the world are given a real chance to continue with their studies in the United States. In most
cases, these students have to make the sacrifice in their education by going abroad and dedicating
some few years where they can concentrate on education. In most cases, most of the students do
not find live simple, and they are faced with multiple challenges which they need to overcome
during their stay in the United States. One thing that makes these problems so vital and complex
is the fact that these students move from their home countries and visit a new country which is
totally different to what they have witnessed in their lives. With this, the focus of this paper will
be analyzing the process of studying abroad.
Cultural shock
It is not easy to adjust to the life of a new country. The ways things are done in Japan is
totally different from the way things are done the United States. The culture, the atmosphere and
also people one meets are very different. The fact is that trying to adopt a new culture is not a
simple task and in many cases, it calls for humility and patience. The only good thing is that the
change is what makes one cross the broader and join the elites (Seitz, 2016). The only way of
dealing with this kind of situation is trying to understand the differences and appreciating them.
