How did you experience and practice the university learning outcomes in previous courses
at Grantham University?
Through increased availability. The lecturers were available for students to consult outside the
lecture halls. The teachers also have regular office hours that work for students who have varying
time schedules. This normally helped boost the students understanding and confidence in
themselves.
The lecturer used to pose open ended dialogue questions to the students rather than spoon feeding
them with the answers. This enabled the students to think critically about issues, improve their
communication skills and boost the students self esteem and confidence. The lecturer used also
positive reinforce to encourage the students. This was achieved by making the comments about
students work tangible and very specific. Can also praise the students if they do well in class.
How did you experience and practice these university learning outcomes in this course?
Utilize Peer Groups
I was comfortable working with other groups as a team. This helped boost strong bonds of team
work. Working in groups also helped me develop my critical thinking skills as we challenged each
other and listened to each and everyone’s opinions and debated about it. This peer groups were
very informative and enhanced our problem-solving techniques in the process.
