The transnationally organized crime groups are associations that are self-perpetuating in
their operations either partly or wholly through the illegal means irrespective of the geographical
location. Their organization is based on the need to continually obtain power, monetary gains as
well as influencing political within different countries. Further, one of the critical aspect to
understand is that most of these crime groups have no single structure for their function of
activities since they have variance regarding networks, cells, hierarchies among others (Beittel,
2015). It is imperative therefore to understand the analysis of the operations involved in the drug
cartels organized crime groups as well as their success.
The drug cartels encompass both the western and the eastern hemispheres where it
includes all the individuals with cultural or ethnic ties around the world. As a result, it is possible
for these organizations to target and maneuver their schemes anywhere in the globe to satisfy
their need for the transaction. Drug cartels may be determined in various dimensions which
consist of anything related activity from the street gangs to traditional mafia groups which are

The lowest position in the system is the Falcons who are considered as the eyes and ears
from the streets. Their primary responsibility is to ensure reporting and supervising the police
activities, rival groups or enforcement of any other government agency to determine their
operations. The hitmen are the next in line after the falcon who is always armed with the cartels.
The primary role of these people is to carry out or undertake assassinations, theft, kidnappings,
extortions and defending their territories against the rival groups (Von Lampe, 2015). Further,
the lieutenants are among the second highest rank within the organizational structure of the
cartels. The main role is to supervise the entire operations of the activities in the organizations;
they manage the Falcons and hitmen within their territories. Moreover, they also do the
executions of low profile individuals without the boss’s permission. The drug lords are the
highest position in any drug cartel who supervise the entire industry by appointing the territorial
leaders, planning for high profile executions as well as making alliances. Nonetheless, there are
