Introduction

Effective organizations are those that create results on a continual basis. These
organizations have invested accordingly in crucial areas including leadership and management;
decision making, work systems, and processes; people and proper organizational culture.
Effective organizations have mastered the art of eliminating inefficiencies and maximizing
efficiency. This paper focuses on components of effective organizational structure, effects of the
global economy on organizational functions, communication strategies for effective
organizations, principles of effective management; and decision-making and problem-solving
aspects of effective organization. Finally, the best leadership approach for effective organizations

Components of an effective organizational structure
Organizational structure relates to how the various activities in an organization are
coordinated and directed to achieve the goals of the organization (Pugh & Pugh, 1971). It is more

Formalization has to do with the degree to which tasks are standardized. Effective
