Description

I need to do the chart

Now that the ERD is created, and as you are working on the logical model, you need to choose an RDBMS for the final solution. Using the method for DBMS selection, analyze 3 different DBMS products available and make a determination about which product you will recommend to management for selection. (One of the databases to analyze must be MySQL).

Using the vendors' Web sites, determine a rating for the following features, and calculate a final score for each:

Based on your analysis, which database product will you recommend, and why?

As you are designing and developing the database, you think to the future and want to be able to grow the database as required, not only expanding the data model as needed, but also in the event that the company wants to open remote data centers and have replicated copies of the data. Describe distributed databases and how they might be used.

Rating Weight Score Surname 1 JAMES LARKIN Database Management System The database is an organized collection of data, a relational database, on the other hand, includes schemas, queries, tables, views, reports among other elements. Database designers organize data in models to support processing. For instance, modeling books in a library system to support a finding of books available on the shelves. Database management systems or simply DBMS is a computer-based software application that interacts with other applications, end user, and the database itself to analyze and capture data. DBMS defines, creates, query, updates, and administer databases. Databases are not portable across different DBMSs; they can interoperate using standards such as ODBC, SQL, and JDBC for a single application to function with multiple DBMS. MySQL is DBMS product that is in almost all open source web projects that needs a database in the backend. For Linux operator, it is part of the powerful LAMP stack and includes Apache and PHP. MySQL AB, letter acquired by Sun Microsystems, was the original company that MySQL; Oracle company came up and acquired the product. Its use was unclear hence the creation of several versions including Maria DB and Drizzle. Its key feature includes MyISAM storage that uses b-tree disk table, it is written in C and C++, the products support partitioning and replication, Xpath, triggers, views and full search ("Mysql :: Mysql Documentation"). The database supports different operating systems (0.10) and it is easier to use and train (0.2). Data models can be easily created as it has both the administrative panel and command line (0.15). In addition, database administration is easy (0.2) and it is a distributed database (0.10). It is a free database and totals to 0.80. Surname 2 Oracle database defines data as a unit. The database has both physical and logical structures. Since the two structures are separate, logical access to data cannot affect the physical storage. The logical structure of the Oracle database includes data blocks, schema, extents, tablespaces, and segments. Schema objects include views, tables, and indexes as structures. The database includes deferent release, namely, 12c Release 2, 11g Release 2, 12c Release 1 among others. Users are free to determine which Oracle database edition they can use, hence the features to use among the options available. It supports use of passwords For SYSTEM and SYS users ("Database and Cloud Database Management Solutions | Oracle"). Same as MySQL, the database is supported by many operating systems, it is easier to create and administer database and it is a distributed database. However, it is a licensed database and requires a considerable amount of cash. Comment rating cost is 1.00. Microsoft SQL Server is a platform independent DBMS database (0.050) developed by Microsoft (0.10). A Microsoft SQL Server DBMS product is primarily for retrieving and storing data as requested; it is a distributed database (0.10) as it runs independently of the computer located in a network. However, it supports various transaction processing, analytic applications and business intelligence in a corporate Information Technology environment ("Windows Server | Microsoft"). Like Oracle and MySQL database, it is easier to use, train requirements (0.20), data models can be created easily, and administering the database is easily (0.20), however, is a sold DBMS (0.20). Rating comments score totals to 1.00. From the analysis, the three DBMS are good depending on users. However, MySQL is recommended for learning purposes. In addition to the distributed database, that is the ability to be used in different computers, it is a free to use, open source database that is effective for managing data. It is reliable, stable and powerful DBMS with advanced features such as data Surname 3 security, on-demand scalability, and high performance, round-the-clock uptime, comprehensive transactional support, complete workflow control, reduced total cost ownership, and flexibility.
