Database designers organize data in models to support processing. For instance, modeling books in a library system to support a finding of books available on the shelves. Database management systems or simply DBMS is a computer-based software application that interacts with other applications, end user, and the database itself to analyze and capture data. DBMS defines, creates, query, updates, and administer databases. Databases are not portable across different DBMSs; they can interoperate using standards such as ODBC, SQL, and JDBC for a single application to function with multiple DBMS. MySQL is DBMS product that is in almost all open source web projects that needs a database in the backend. For Linux operator, it is part of the powerful LAMP stack and includes Apache and PHP.
