Military Identification Document (ID) is the only proof that one is a genuine uniformed
or armed personnel. Once issued with the document, it is the responsibility of the individual to
account for its availability. In the US, soldiers are required to produce their IDs to the civilians
whenever there is an encounter or even when a civilian need to be arrested. If uniformed
personnel fail to produce his or her ID, a civilian has a right to deny the services, requests, or
commands from the soldier (Regulation, 2014). The procedure is a way of ensuring that military
persons have high accountability of this document. In the following discussion, the importance
of having accountability over ID card will be done. The discussion will base the arguments on
