Task 1 – 3.1 – (P, M3)
Discuss the processes and activities you engaged in when developing your own Personal Development
Plan and what you have to do to implement the PPD Plan. This question is related to and based on your
PPD Plan done in Assignment 1. (Who did you talk to about your future? What training courses have you
attended? Go back to your PPD). (3.1)
To achieve a Pass you must discuss a minimum of a 2 processes you engaged in when developing the PPD
and discuss the steps you will take to implement 3 activities identified in the PPD Plan.

development of thought process/concepts.
Task 2- 3.2 – (P)
Which development activities have you chosen to undertake In Task 1? (Attending College, Courses,
training, workshops, reading, etc.). Explain why you chose these activities and provide me with detailed
plan as to how you implemented or plan to implement them to ensure successful completion. You need
to provide proof (documents) that you in fact undertook these activities. (3.2)

have implemented or plan to implement them.
Task 3 – 3.3 – (P, M3, D3)
Critically evaluate your learning ability against your original plans, aims and objectives as out in your
Personal and Professional Development Plan. Please be honest with yourself… have you previously reached
set out targets and goals? (are assignments submiited on time? Do you study? Do you listen to the news?
Did you read that book?) Can you really achieve the things you identified in the PPD? Are your
objectives/aims SMARTER? (3.3)

Task 5 – 4.1 – (P, M2, D2)
Every organization faces problems and looks for the most effective solutions to these problems.
Apply the 6 steps of Problem Solving to solve the following case:
CBFS offers various HND Programs – Business Accounting and Finance, Human Resources,
Banking and now Management. Despite promotion and demand from the job market, students
predominantly choose Accounting and Finance stream. This semester from 100 students 80 chose
Accounting and Finance, 10 went into HR and 7 choose the Management streams. CBFS does not
know what to do or what the problem is but the job market has no more room for bookkeepers and
accountants.
Based on the case above please identify the problem and present the solution using the 6 step process. (4.1)

Task 6 – 4.2 – (P, M3)
You need to prepare a presentation based on Task 5. You will present the problem and the solution with the
implementation process to the class and lecturer. The presentation will be approximately 5 to 7min long and
will demonstrate students ability to communicate in varity of communication styles (written -Task 5 and oral
Task 6) (4.2)
To achieve a Pass you will make a presentation in class.

development of thought process/principles.
Task 7 – 4.3 – (P, M1, D1)
How is your time management? Evaluate your time management by identifying the “time wasters” as well
as the “time savers” you use throughout the day. (4.3)
To achieve a Pass you will identify your time management style and a minimum of 3 time wasters and 3
time savers.
To achieve M1 you will have to have conducted additional research and used it in your assignment.
To achieve D1 you need to conduct a critical self-assessment as to how you save and waste time and make
recommendations as to how you can improve your time management.
