Frankenstein Critical Analysis Evaluation Essay

Introduction
The novel Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley, narrates the story of a young scientist who
created a monster in a very unfamiliar scientific experiment. It is a story that includes romance
and supernatural abilities. It introduces the relationship between Captain Robert and his sister
and this is where Frankenstein discovers his obsession (Shelley, 2010). It then goes ahead to
explain how the creature was created and its life. There have been several critics from different
people on how the novel is. According to the critics Walter Scott and Professor Sherry Ginn,
they adequately argue that Frankenstein is based on fictions since it is beyond human
understanding and entails the law of nature.
According to Walter Scott, Shelley’s novel was from a poetic view and that the book is
based on fictions and events that are beyond human understanding. He says it also deals with
romance to some extent (Scott, pg. 48). Walter Scott was a British critique who worked with
Blackwood’s Edinburgh Magazine and published his review in the March 1998. He describes
