A resume is a candidate’s first point of contact with the recruitment officer. As such, it
needs to capture the attention of its intended recipient and communicate the candidate’s
suitability to the company to which they apply. Different types of resumes can achieve this
purpose, each suitable to specific organizations or situations. To accomplish this purpose,
however, each resume requires constant revision and updating. This essay discusses the different

Functional Resume
A functional resume is one whose primary focus is an individual’s skills and experience
