Description

I need to respond to this below in 300-400 words in APA format.

According to Fisher and Martini, “Many traditional values relating to familiar obligations, human sexuality, work ethic, and other morals and practices were changing rapidly.” Regardless if we recognize them or not, values do naturally exist. Our lives can become less stressful, and more productive when we acknowledge our personal values – and then make the attempt to live by and honor these values regardless of the circumstances we encounter. The following values are the most that stay with me in everyday life. The first one is honesty, to live truthfully, to live honestly, keeps our hearts and souls pure and our minds free of doubt or uncertainty. When we are honest, we know we are doing the right things. Next, is forgiveness, I struggle with forgiveness, but I work on it every day to become better at it for the sake of my family and children. To be clear, the purpose of forgiveness is not to absolve someone of the sins committed against you; but to free yourself from the pain and the anger that is keeping you stuck. When you forgive, you are better able to let go of the past and keep moving forward with your life. Finally, is my belief in others, it can be my attitude; my resolve, that can lift someone up when they are down. Their doubt can be erased by my confidence. And something else amazing happens: belief is contagious, the more you believe in others; the more you will continue to believe in yourself. A person acquires a set of standards by which they live by with ethics. “Ethics is based on how we behave in situations we confront daily (Fisher & Martini, 2004).” Being ethical means doing the “right thing.” Ethical Behavior is linked to one’s moral values. Being ethical is not the same as doing "whatever society accepts." In any society, most people accept standards that are, in fact, ethical. But standards of behavior in society can deviate from what is ethical. An entire society can become ethically corrupt. Nazi Germany is a good example of a morally corrupt society.
