The impact of the human actions (Goudie, 2013.pg 23) in the modern days has brought
an adverse impact on the environment. Particularly, the carbon emission as result of the
machinery used in the companies, the vehicles used that are gas-powered, to mention buy a few,
are some of the sources of the carbon emission. Moreover, the waste products and the modern
way of feeding have also hugely brought about the negative impacts to the environment. This
paper focuses on the response of the people to the impact of their actions in regard to achieving
the dream of every individual of having a green community that does not threaten the life of any
organism.
The documentary, “no impact man” presents a couple that is focused on the looking at
the actions of human beings that affect that environment drastically. Consequently, the couple
vows to overlook the comfort of life provided by the modern technology (Singh and Sanjeev,
2017. Pg 2) for a whole year of the project. They decided to use be using the bicycle for
transportation, lived without electricity and fed on only organic food within their community.
The couple personally initiated the project to ensure they deny themselves the comfort that
negatively impacts the environment. The intentions were personally motivated, when the

husband saw the continued destruction of trees, increased wasted as well as the lack of concern
for people to safeguard the environment.
The project focused on reducing, reusing and recycling of products that become waste
after the consumption of the goods that are domestically used. The couple worked on a plan of
reducing or not having products in their possession that increases the negative impacts that make
it impossible to accomplish the goal of every environmentalist of having a green community.
