Introduction
There have been disparities in access to health services. The disparity comes in because
people across the nation since people are different which makes accessibility to health different.
Differences in races, ethnicity, background and class system which results in differences in
accessing health-related services. Surveys by various institutions such as the National Survey of
Children with Special Health Care Needs have revealed how children with different disabilities
access healthcare services in different ways due since they come from different backgrounds
regarding race and ethnicity differences. This is an issue that has to be addressed by the
government and its institutions to ensure that the is equality in accessing of healthcare services.
This attempt will improve the general health of the Americans. People will access health services
from an equal platform. The government will address the issue of healthcare in a good way
aimed at controlling, detecting diseases. In this regard, the government and other institutions
have taken the initiatives to address the issue of disparity in accessing health services where
among many approaches the issue of cultural brokerage has been widely used.
Addressing health disparity issues
The government and its agencies and other non-governmental organization have
undertaken strategies to address the issue of accessibility. The National Center for Project Access
(NCPA) is one such organization that has laid down strategies aimed at enabling people to access
medical services. To begin with, institutions such as (NCPA) develop public education and
awareness campaigns to teach members of the public in the best way they can access health
services (Betancourt and Joseph, 2016). Consequently, they help in enabling members of public
with skills building programs to empower people on ways and means of accessing medical
