Mrs. Snyder’s Case Overview
■ Mrs. Snyder is a 56 year old, Jewish female patient who came into the ER with
complaints of uncontrolled blood glucose levels. Her current medical diagnoses are
as follow, HTN, hypercholesterolemia, anxiety, and obesity. Mrs. Snyder’s family
heavily relies on her as a primary care taker. She is a full caregiver for her mother
with Alzheimers, cares for her two teenage sons, cares for her home and manages
both business and home finaces. She is married, her husband runs a deli and is
unable to assist with duties at home. Upon further workup and testing she was
diagnosed with ovarian cancer. At this time Mrs. Snyder has refused further
treatment for her cancer to prolong her life and instead has opted out for hospice
