In business, competition may occur between two similar companies within the same
industry. The case of Coca-Cola and Pepsi remains as one of a kind in that these two firms
compete for the same type of customers in the different marketplaces. The driving forces to the
success of each firm differ from one to the other. As a result, each business may then attain its
desired levels of production and delivery to the customers in different ways, representing the
primary point of concern in this paper. The strategies concerning creation, operations as well as
growth management used in Coca-Cola may differ by a significant margin from those
implemented by Pepsi. Similarly, Pepsi may use a variety of methods to attract customers that
Coca-Cola may not. This paper provides a comparison between these two companies by their
operations.
Tools of accomplishment
Coca-Cola stands out as one of the leading beverage and ready to drink companies today.
The firm produces a variety of products which range from soft drinks to other ready items which
it delivers to the respective customers as per their needs. The initial product which forms the
other finished pieces includes a concentrate that the firm distributes to its different franchises
located in the various parts of the globe. Coca-Cola boasts of delivering its products to a wide
base of customers who may range from the young people to the elderly within the society. In the
past, the company produced high sugar level products which got associated with a lot of health
problems. However, in the recent history, the firm decided to roll out a different product which
does not include high levels of sugar. The low or zero sugar products for Coca-Cola may act as
the ultimate items which will foster better performance and growth among the various markets.
