The connection between learning English and assimilating into American culture.
Introduction
Learning English as the one of the world’s primary language has been a necessity for every
individual around the globe in the past decades. This is geared towards international unity
and harmony in modes of communication and enhancing sustainable development across
continents. All in all the learning English and American culture has been identified as a
determinant for any immigrant who wants to succeed in the United States of America. This
includes both for studies, business related and also for vacation purposes (Genc, Bilal &
Bada, 2005). Some immigrants who do travel to the USA do have a hard time in learning
English and their culture depending on their home country’s national language which is
partly rooted with the colonial government for a specified country. Assimilating a new
culture is always a hurdle especially for the immigrants who already have an established way
of life and culture different from the Americans. All in all, there are different factors that
assist in the connection between learning English and assimilation of American culture.
