Does the literature provide evidence that the decision was unthinking?
The unthinking choice of dividing the military to constables who were noblemen and
combatants who have not practiced a vital detachment in the British colonial society1. The
literature provides information that the decision that was made was unthinking. We can see
clearly from the literature that the main reason behind dividing the army is because it wasn’t easy
to recognize who the army they were and also what they were about2. This is evident in Williams
comments when he states that some patriots had to wrestle all through the revolution. It was due
to these hardships and pains those poor men out to solder, but Williams thinks otherwise about
them. Also, we find some truth from the literature review when we see that there were some
Massachusetts who was a soldier and he had to elect their soldiers according to their militant
tradition3. But the history that was before stated that in practice it was what made the great
difference with the hierarchy of the militants4. From the literature, we see that the selected
militants who were elected were of the similar communal status with the officers who were
chosen in the other colonies5. Also, we see that even after men had appointed their officer the
order was that there must be the social difference according to the hierarchy of the militants6. We
also see clearly that the decision that was made being unthinking because the truth was that all
kinds of citizens were present in the military and it was recognized as the people's military7.
These were due when they were in a hurry to take part in the drama that was to happen to men

who had different social status8. Also, we see that after there was the military setback the
recruitment according to ones social status decreased with a very high rate.
We see that the soldier's life had some improvements in the century that followed. And
having the command quality in wars which had a big number of death rate due to deaths and also
diseases which lead to loss of the workforce it significantly symbolized that British continued to
get involved in the enrollment9. It was at this juncture that the colonist and many people had to
believe that the British soldiers were the ones who were leading in crimes and most of them had
no homes. The British soldiers were appointed to act as the peacekeeping force. We see that in
the year 1778 there was a huge decrease in the number of soldiers who were taken. It was until
when the PIRA10. Decided to lunch the case fire the British army rendered all their posts as
useless and they had to go back and bring up again the troops level11. Also, it was evident that
most of the soldiers come from the poor background. The action of being enrolled being a soldier
and the regular income acted as a motivating factor towards the young men who were bounded to
the seasonal labor or even at times they worked as the casual labor. The parties which were
involved in the selection considered most the poor communities12.
For instance, we also see that General James Wolfe had to be able to serve as a lieutenant
colonel and he was confident whenever his team would go the nearby village where people were

so poor and he ought to think that they may end up being soldiers throughout total provisions13.
We see that from the literature point of view that despite their knowledge of the different types
of men who had an opportunity to serve as soldiers in other places the colonist had gained a lot
of experience to shape them on who will become a soldier. Some of these attitudes are portrayed
well in the legislation that has the total control over the militants and the troops14.
On the seventh year, Massachusetts soldier's war portrayed a sign of enlisted men that
acted as the core builders of the bigger society and concerning the ranks they were very highly
considered15. This was so evident in the first year of the combat and that the rate of the enlisted
men slowed down just as the war continued. These are seen in the year 1775 when the revolution
began in its first months the parties that were selecting people went out beating up peoples and it
becomes now hard for them to locate them, and it contributed to the decline16. These were due
because Massachusetts had conceded that drafted strollers are not the only ones who are looked
onto but also there are those who stole from one town to another and they are also targeted.
The best evidence of class division and its effects
The US Navy is the only Army life category in America where vibrant, enforced and
accepted class divisions exist. In case one is an enlisted sailor, he or she cannot walk in a bluetiled soldier's country except during official functions. Even during the official function one tries
as much as he or she can avoid. While in a Navy carrier, sailors line up for a meal, they make

their way through big style lines to get food. Officers proceeded to the wardroom where they are
served. However, enlisted sailors act as their wait staff from their snazzy outfits.
The best evidence of class division in a soldier life is Education. Educated individuals
look down upon uneducated fellows17. In soldiers, life education is preferred as a mode of rising
through the ranks. The role of education serves to inform and enlighten military personnel, but
divisions emanate. Educated service personnel rarely associate with less trained in the army. The
characters are aligned for soldiers to participate in creating a safer society, but education terms
creep in to create division. Educated personnel rarely want to associate with less educated in
coming up with solutions18. Opinions provided with less trained in the service are unlikely to be
considered.
Another example of the best evidence of class division in a soldier life is Education
punishment. Soldiers in the lower ranks are punished heavily compared to those in the higher
cadre. An individual position brings the class division. Most tops ranked officials in the army are
unlikely to be penalized for a wrong decision. Punishable offenses are considered with the area
an officer holds in the military19. Class divisions that are created with punishable crimes create
disharmony in the service. Military personnel is supposed to ...
