The ideal family in Germany includes a married couple with 1 or 2 kids. Most young
academics prefer to first finish their University education and start a career before starting a
family. As a result, most mothers receive their firstborns at the age of thirty. Things are different
in Yemen where early marriage has become an issue. According to statistics, 12% of women in
Yemen were married before they were 15 years old while 32% are married before they were 18
