Select one of the major themes of early U.S. history that you find compelling. Using that theme as your starting point, choose a total of three persons, events, or places. Drawing on primary and secondary evidence, argue why said persons, places, or events are central to that theme. You may respond to the above prompt by writing a traditional history essay (2000 words) that includes an introductory paragraph with a clear thesis statement, supporting paragraphs that contain evidence (primary and secondary), and a concluding paragraph that neatly summarizes your argument and findings. Students selecting this option will draw on secondary and primary sources and cite them accordingly in their footnotes (follow Chicago Manual of Style). Papers should include a title, be double-spaced with 12-point font, and 1-inch margins. The theme is form of resistance in the early American revolution Some Primary sources 1) Boston tea party • From the chapter on George R.T.
