SELF REFLECTION
Self-reflection is the ability to look at oneself and be able to describe what you are seeing. It
serves as a method of self-assessment, whereby you analyze how you work and study. Selfreflection is very important because it allows for the development of skills and one can assess
whether they are effective, instead of keeping on with the same tactics and yet they do not lead to
the attainment of better results. It is a self-analysis on oneself that involves asking questions, but
from a positive perspective, about the things you do, reasons as to why you do them, and
researching whether there are other ways of doing the same but more efficiently (Bennett -Levy,
J., & Lee, N. K. 2014). It is very crucial when it comes to learning because it serves as a way of
eliminating methods that did not succeed the first time you used them. It also means that in the
process one learns better methods of dealing with situations that they are more confident about.
