Description
For the photographic image posted online for this assignment, write a four to six paragraph paper evaluating the image and theorizing about it. Use information that you have learned from the lecture titled: Week 6 D.I.E.T. Evaluate and Theorize.
This will be the Image you will write about.
Approach this with fresh eyes, please do not research the image online until after you have written your paper, this exercise has nothing to do with the name of the photograph or who took it. If you know who took this photograph, remember that does not need to be in the paper.
Briefly describe the shot and what you feel it's purpose was. Then...
Consider looking at the Glossary Lecture when using photographic terms. Always remember when evaluating a photograph to discuss whether it is a good photograph or not, considering it's composition and it's purpose. Once again, keep in mind technology of the period in which the photograph was created, do not use modern terms here. Assume most photographs we learn about in this class were taken using traditional processes, never use digital terms unless it is apparent it might be a digital photograph.
Once you have decided whether it is good (evaluating) then you need to decide if it is art or not (Theorize).
You can describe and interpret the image briefly in this paper. Do not over Describe or Interpret in this paper.
This paper must be saved and submitted to Vericite as a PDF file only.

Above, where the sky stands, a hue that approximates to white will take over, covering most of the
upper half of the image. Below, under the horizon’s line, darker shades of gray can be seen. In the
water, small lines of movement can be made out, albeit barely. The see captured is not entirely
motionless, and the faint ripples in the water give the bottom half a nice texture. Though there is
not much en...
