During this semester, you have explored both the political and cultural development of what is now known as Great Britain. For this semester project, you will examine the relationship between these two facets of British life by creating a presentation that answers the following question:

What is the relationship between a society’s government and its literature? How do they influence and shape one another? Explain.

Task

Use a combination of original research and what you have learned in the class this semester to answer the question above in the form of a virtual presentation of your choice:

You will compile the requested information in one of the above formats, save it and upload it here.

Requirements

You must attempt to answer the guiding question in the form of a well-constructed thesis statement with supporting claims in the body of your presentation. Your presentation MUST include the following:

  • A Title Page: Your Name, Class Name, Date, Title of your presentation.
  • 1 Introduction Page: 3-4 sentences introducing the topic
  • 1 Thesis Page: Provide your 1-2 sentence thesis that attempts to answer the guiding question.
  • 3 Support Pages: You must provide 3 pieces of evidence from your research that support your thesis. You must have one page for each support.
    • Over the course of your three pages, you need to have AT LEAST TWO citations from your research. You can EITHER directly quote from the research OR paraphrase, HOWEVER you must ensure that they are cited in MLA format*
  • 1 Conclusion Page: Provide a 2-3 sentence conclusion that closes your argument.
  • 1 Works Cited Page: Provide the MLA works cited information for the research that you cite in your support pages. You may use EasyBib to help you format this information
