Explain how your professional, personal, and/or educational experiences have led you
to your interest in earning a degree in Psychology. Include why you chose to take classes
in Applied Behavior Analysis.
I have had experiences in handling addicted individuals, one was a relative addicted to

marijuana, and another was a friend who was addicted to alcohol. These individuals immensely
influenced me to major in psychology so that I can help such individuals. By studying Applied
Behavior Analysis, I think I can make an impact in this field of study by advancing theories and
ways of correcting behavioral deviance.


Discuss your intended area of specialization and why this area appeals to you
I look forward to specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy. This area appeals

to me because it will help me have a direct impact on individuals suffering from depression,
behavioral deviance, and mental challenges. I have had experience in handling individuals
addicted to drugs and want to have an impact on such individuals.
