Criminal justice was initially an issue that was strictly handled by courts without external
opinions. There is a history of a failed and biased justice system that gave rise to human rights
activism hence the development of defined justice documentation and procedures. Among the
many rights that have been established are the freedom of expression and that of the media, when
these two are combined, they give rise to social media and other information transferring
platforms which apparently have a lot of influence on many things including the justice system.
The media has power in the society because it is the source of and means of transferring
information. Anything that passes through mass media automatically becomes a publicized issue.
Apparently, there is no limit on which topics should or should not be covered by the media hence
it is possible to get restricted information on the media. National televisions, radios, and news
outlets are regulated but personal blogs and accounts are not. Publicity has a direct effect on how
