“12” point print setting, using APA style.
d. Use standard one inch margins and paragraphs.
e. Length of report 4 pages (excluding title page—abstract not required).
f. Paper must be typed black ink and turned in as a hard copy, stapled in upper left-hand
corner (save your work—e-mailed copies will not be accepted).

The Role of “Nature & Nurture” In Human Development
Nature and nurture play a significant role in human development by determining the
talents and personalities that an individual would possess in later years. The environment where
human beings live have a lasting impact on human development because it influences behavior,
attitude, perception, and response to critical issues and elements (Bjorklund, 2015). The genes
and hereditary factors determine the genetic composition of the human being, thus influencing
the phenotypic traits of the individual.
The environmental variability that depends on nurture will influence human development
through social relation, cultural beliefs, values and norms as well as the manner in which the
individual was raised. The personality of an individual is influenced by nature while the parents
shape the behavior through genetic predisposition. As such, the physical traits passed by parents
to the child also determine the personality trait of an individual to a small extent.
The Importance of Parental Influences in Early Childhood Development
Parental influence will determine the direction of the emotional development of a child
by giving the child the much-needed support, confidence, and development through parental
support. It also enables the child to acquire a positive personality at a later stage in life as well as
good behavioral habits (Damon & Lerner, 2014). Parental interaction with the child will regulate
the emotions of the child, thus impacting on the childhood development in an appropriate
