The research study done and reports by Tseng, et al., (2015), which was a study of family
caregivers and their experiences in how to manage stroke survivors with incontinence, has
covered the major essential aspects of a qualitative type of research study. This is as depicted in
the analysis below.
The research problem
The research problem was stated as “A Qualitative Study of Family Caregiver Experiences of
Managing Incontinence in Stroke Survivors”, (Tseng et al., 2015). This research problem has
met the essential criteria in that it’s able to be researched and investigated through data collection
and analysis. It aimed in indicating and giving the experiences of the caregiver of their day to
day management of survivors of stroke who are affected by incontinence.
The research is essential educationally as it focused mainly on the incontinence aspect of the
stroke survivors and had an aim of helping nurses to provide better support services and adequate
equipment for the survivors’ caregivers in order to improve their provision of services.
The problem statement also fully defined the variables and how they are related (Kneale &
