Introduction
Starbucks is amongst the leading coffee brewers within the global fraternity. The
business establishment was brought into the limelight of the coffee industry by individuals
known as Siegel, Bowker, and Balswin in the year 1971. Initially, this entity had a single outlet
in its headquarter city of Seattle, Washington. However, through time this massive organization
has been capable of expanding its operations in different countries across the globe thereby
enabling it to record many outlets to the tune of thirty thousand. During its inception, the firm
engaged thoroughly in providing its available customers with black coffee products. But as a
result of continuous re-modification and involvement in innovative-oriented ideologies this
corporation, today can boast a wide range of product lines which comprises of Cappuccino,
Espresso as well as Frappuccino varieties among others.
Selection of expansion-oriented decision
In its endeavor to secure ambient penetration of the market both within the local
alongside the international fraternities, Starbucks decided to practice thorough opening of
numerous stores. The presence of these outlets would ensure that the business entity maximizes
its profits while at the same time minimizing on the potential overheads that may be realizable.
The decision to open a large number of outlets was initially a notion whose ideal intention was to
