One type of dependent sample is characterized by a measurement followed by an intervention of some kind and the another measurement (Lind,D.A., Marchal, W.D., Whaten, S.A. 2015). According to Lind,D.A., Marchal, W.D., Whaten, S.A. (2015) this could be called a “before” and “after” study. This is the research I used to conclude that this case was an example of a dependant sample.The type of t-test I would use in this situation is the comparing dependent and independent samples.
