7. Two key issues that the Tigerair Australia must address for the future

a. Congestions and delays
Tigerair Australia is striving to enhance its capacity to serve a larger population and make more
profits. Flight delays have been a source of frustration as cost the air travellers along with the
aviation industry at large. Enhancing its capacity will lead to more traffic congestions and delays
hence the need to address congestions and delays. Therefore, the company should work out on
how to avoid flight delays and unpredictable schedules. Being that it is a major airport, it is
import to address issues like crowding and congestions. The aviation company should, therefore,
reduce the air traffic control problems, airport equipment problems, and high flight volumes in
the terminal areas by improving the airport infrastructure and air traffic control performance.
Modifying the traffic rules and the condition of their instruments will help maintain timely
flights and reduce congestions (DOT, 2000).
b. Environmental capability
Airport requires a large space based on their functional needs, access to passengers and high
cargo volumes. Increase in the aviation volume and its operations may facilitate traffic
congestion if the space that is available for expansion is inadequate. Addition of more airplanes
at the airport may also increase noise population hence the state law may require to reassess the
environment. Therefore, the Tigerair Australia should take environmental compatibility as a key
issue (NTSB 2000).
