Revolutions marked the end of the 18th century. Essentially, during this period, utopian
ideologies resulted in political and social actions. Individuals pursuing economic, political, and
social changes started to think they had reason and right of their side. Typically, the two main
revolutions that occurred during this era were American Revolution and the French revolution.
Some of the key factors that caused revolutions of the 18th century were social, political, and
economic factors. For instance, social inequality and the economic instability caused by the war
debt prompted the American and French Revolution. Moreover, the main political factor that
resulted in the American and French Revolution was the fact that their respective monarchies
constricted their control over the colonies and began taxing the two colonies (McKay, et al.
2011).

themselves ideologically?
One of the main reasons why the American colonies rebelled against the British is the
high taxes that they were required to pay. Typically, Britain wanted money to fund its war debts
