Question Description

Using 8 relevant academic articles, write 4-5 pages about how an upbringing filled with abuse, bullying, and loneliness may lead a person to become a psychopath. I will provide the links to some articles that will be useful for writing about some of those topics.

Write 1-2 page about how the lack of remorse mixed with impulsiveness and dissociation may be what allows a psychopath to impulsively take action on their violent thoughts and kill people.

Include an APA reference page and the links of the ACADEMIC articles used.

I have attached a sheet with guidelines that should be followed strictly! Look at #2 "Literature review" section. Everything else can be ignored.

Use APA format. Times New Roman. 12 Font size. Double spaced. Correct grammar.

Psy 3500. Social Psychology Research proposal for Social Psychology (150 points) Proposal in social psychology: For this paper, you will need to develop a research proposal, using an experimental design, to test a hypothesis/theory in social psychology. APA style, double-space, typed only. The total written proposal should be about 10 pages (Times new roman, fond 12). Professional style: Please follow the steps carefully. Imitate the format you have learned from academic articles. You need to write this research proposal as professional as possible. 1. Formulate a research question / Introduction: (15 points) Think about several research questions that are directly related to this class, and then choose the best one. Why do you think that this research question is important and worthy of conducting? What is the significance of this research? What kinds of contribution do you think that this research can bring to human knowledge? 2. Literature review (45 points) Please review at least 8 relevant academic articles, and discuss how these articles answer your research question. What are their research designs? What are the limitations of these articles with respect to your research question? How can you go beyond their research in order to answer your own research question? (Follow the academic format you saw in other academic articles). The literature review should be about 2-4 pages. You need to do some comparisons among these articles, like you see in some academic articles, rather than discussing them separately. Don’t forget to put the references at the end of your paper (in APA format). 3. Hypotheses and theoretical justification (20 points) What’s your theoretical justification (logical argument), and what is your hypothesis? Yes, it is ok to integrate your theoretical argument with the literature review. You should put your hypothesis after your theoretical justification. 1 4. Experimental design: (30 points) There are several ways to collect the data: survey, experiment, field observation, etc. For this assignment, you are required to use experimental design; that is, you need to take an action (or create a situation), and manipulate your independent variable to see the consequences or the change of dependent variables. How will you design an experiment to test the hypothesis? Please describe the process in as much detail as possible. (You might need to review chapter 2). Don’t forget to include the following major points: What’s the independent variable? What’s the dependent variable? Do you need a control group? Do you need a pre-test? Why or why not? 5. Data Collection (20 points) How would you choose and recruit your participants? How many people to you plan to choose? Is there any potential bias in your sampling process? Why? Will the biased sample have any impact on the result of your research? Please discuss it in detail. 6. Research ethics: (20 points) Will this research harm anyone? How could you protect your participants? Please discuss all possible research ethic issues and see you follow them. Grading criteria for the written proposal: Research design: creativity, logical rigor Clear description of the research and data collection process Library research / literature review Organization of the proposal College level writing skills: grammar and spelling. Professional style (APA format) 2
