Child development is a complex process that can be uneven and vary across several
children. However, there are certain principles and milestones that can be reliably used to
determine the progress of a child and help determine any deviances early so that they can be
mitigated when possible. It is therefore important for both parents, and physicians to be
accustomed to these milestones, and principle so that they can be able to understand and help a
child when the need arises.
