Big Fish, a novel by Wallace seeks to address a comprehensive coverage concerning the
life of Edward Bloom. Apparently, the storyline critically provides a narrative in relation to
Edward’s perspective and or subjective view of the world, per se. According to the novel,
William Bloom, Edward’s son tries to understand his father’s life at a time when his father
struggles for his life against a debilitating malady (Wallace2012). According to a definitive
recount of eventful circumstances with specific regard to Edward’s life’s trajectory and
accomplishments, the credibility tone of the novel sounds a bit far-fetched. As described by the
author, Edward loved to blow his life’s accomplishments w out of proportion (Wallace2012). For
instance, the narrator ascertains that Edward never forgot a face, as well as a name which he
came into contact with once he attained twelve years of age. Furthermore, the narrator claims
that he recognized everyone’s gait, as well as shoes. Accordingly, such proclamations describe
perfection which is rear to come by (Wallace2012). At any given time, no one is capable of
possibly being perfect to that extent.
