The properties of a new metal alloy were determined. The specific heat capacity was calculated from the following experiment: A 158.0 g of metal alloy at 81.00oC was added to 96.0 g of water at 26.00oC. The temperature of the water rises to 42.58oC. Assuming no loss of heat, calculate the specific heat of the metal alloy. (Cp of water = 4.186 J g-1 C-1)
