MATU 203 BU Verizon & AT&T Hypothesis Test Airport Speeds Excel Worksheet & Discussion
Using technology (StatCrunch, Statdisk, or Excel) compute the mean data speed for each of the two carriers, Verizon and AT&T. Provide a printout of your technology output using the Insert/Edit Image feature (no attachments!) Based on this, which carrier do you think has the faster speed?Next, using technology (StatCrunch, Statdisk, or Excel) conduct a hypothesis test to test your claim about which carrier has the faster speed. Explain which test you conducted and why that is the appropriate test for this example. Provide a printout of your technology output using the Insert/Edit Image feature (no attachments!) Explain your conclusion in statistical and non-statistical terms and how you arrived at that conclusion. Be sure to follow the 8-step procedure on page 360, using technology to do your calculations. You should include your null and alternative hypothesis (in English and in symbolic form), your significance level, whether you are conducting a right tailed, left tailed, or two tailed test, p-value, and conclusions. RE: Week 5 Discussion
Good morning Class and Professor
The truth of the matter is, in the workplace there are two groups of people. One's who relates to the numbers and the ones who focus on the actions. When you think in terms of management. That's the area where the numbers and graphs are the focus. Whereas when you think about entry level workers, they don't understand the world of numbers. There's more comfort in simply hearing if business is good or bad.
I worked as a Safety Coordinator and had to compile graphs weekly for management and place them on the boards throughout the plant for associates to see. It was not surprising to me to see how low the numbers were of associates took the time to stop and view the charts and graphs.

Relationship Graph
For this discussion, you will have the opportunity to create your own relationship graph. Use the illustration tools in Microsoft Word to make the graph. It can be a graph of your friendship network, or professional connections, or it can depict some other relationship that you find interesting.Your graph should have at least six vertices. You should clearly label what the vertices are as well as explain the significance of their connection. For example: the vertices in the above graph are different actors/actresses, and they are connected by an edge if they have acted in the same movie together. For your initial post, upload a copy of your graph and summarize what you discovered from this exercise. What insights did you gain from the graph?

Numerical Analysis Question
The concept of ‘critical path’ can often be confusing, as many students want to believe that it is the ‘shortest’ path through a network. Convincingly explain why this is not so. Explain how the critical path defines the project’s duration and how “crashing” affects that.
