For this assignment, you will choose and research one assistive technology device that may improve the quality of life or facilitate the learning of a student identified in your field experience. The device can be either an example of high tech or low tech. You will create a PPT slide for each key piece of information: description of the device, intended use, manufacturer, cost of available assistive technology and an explicit and detailed explanation (with examples) for how this chosen device will improve the quality of life or facilitate the learning of a student identified in your field experience. Include links to video demos, pictures of the product, and links to the company and product.  Two assistive technology sites to get you started are: http://www.abledata.com and http://www.closingthegap.com. Please note that there are a multitude of assistive technology companies and devices, you are strongly encouraged to go beyond these two provided sites.   You cannot complete this assignment on an APP or on communication devices. Make sure to check that you have not selected the same gap in service as your peer group members. Notify your instructor if you need assistance in selecting an alternative gap in service to avoid duplication.
